Canada Rocks!!

A big Hi to Gina from Canada who surfed in today out of the blue, pinned her name on my map, answered the question, got it right earned a point and even posted a few comments - truly an example to you all!!

I hope all the "regulars" who have become all too silent recently will feel slightly remorseful and start tapping those keys!!

Gina you are very welcome and I hope you will continue to waste valuable coffee time on our little Belfast world!!!! Everyone say Hi to Gina.

The picture below is Gina's cottage and you can see more of it on GINA's WEBSITE - it's for rent in Canada!! Why don't 6 of us go!!!

As for the answer to today's man-hole situation.....

Clair from Sendit answered the question most eloquently in her e-mail. It said :

"The reason for the circular construction of these covers is, quite simply, that covers of any other shape would fall through the manholes by virtue of their varying diameters. Circular manhole covers do not vary in width, or in diameter, as is the case with these other shapes, thus remaining in place despite the street traffic running roughshod over them………"

Erm ... Right then!!! Clair although I don't believe for a second these are your words, that is in fact the correct answer....

Well done to Byte (5 points) Richard (4 Points) ADMS (3 points) Gina (2 Points) and Clair (1 Point)

I shall post the leader board for this week presently...
